After being graduated a few months ago, now I can post my final project about folder encryption. It’s implemented as an application. Firstly, this idea came from my lecturer, Mr. Rinaldi Munir. I was so interested to choose the topic then decided to make it become my final project. I did that because folder encryption application was not very popular so that I could design a better one based on my lecturer’s, friends’, and also my idea. The application was developed for Windows OS using Visual Studio with DotNet Framework 3.5. It used Serpent algorithm, though it’s possible to use other algorithm. I named it DACrypt.
For complete explanation about that, you can open this link from my lecturer’s blog: http://webmail.informatika.org/~rinaldi/TA/Makalah_TA%20Bernardino.pdf. It’s in Bahasa Indonesia, so if you cannot understand it, you may need a translator :D. Then you can try the application from my SkyDrive: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=38a55214b54a920a&sc=documents&id=38A55214B54A920A%21152. If you cannot download it, let me know by comment this post. It includes two files: DACrypt and DACryptFinder. DACrypt is the main application that can be used to encrypt a folder. DACryptFinder can be used to grant direct access from context menu. This application is still unfinished, so please don’t assume that it can be used to protect your confidential folder. Try it only for your folder that has been backed-up. Please give me your feedback so that I can improve it in my spare time :D.
